I just got the news that I passed all sections of the CHC exam! Yay! And I wanted to say that I think my experience of doing the Caduceus Clinical Module was a strong contributory factor - it was so helpful to see many different types of cases and have the opportunity to work through them at my own pace. I also appreciated seeing your style of case-taking and am following this style with my own cases. Sharon Lewis Clinical Training The clinical component becomes important to your study of homeopathy beginning with Module Two. There are several options for gaining clinical experience. Clinical training is not required by the Institute, but is invaluable if you intend to use your homeopathic skills in the real world. The Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) does require clinical hours to qualify to sit for their exam. We offer three options for clinical experience: a clinical intensive, monthly clinics for local students, our new clinical module. Serious students who wish to sit for the certification exam may wish to attend the Intensive several times as well as enroll in the Clinical Module. Onsite Clinical Intensive We offer a special four-day clinic during the summer for out of town students. The clinic is located at the Caduceus Institute in Santa Cruz, California. You are eligible to attend after you have begun Module Two or the equivalent. This is an opportunity to participate in live case taking sessions with an experienced homeopath. You will see all the skills you learn in the study modules come to life at these intensives. Distance Learning Clinical Modules You are eligible to start the Clinical Modules when you have begun Module Three or the equivalent in another program. The clinical modules consist of DVD cases from our clinic. You take the case from the DVD, analyze it according to our guidelines, and send it to the Institute for feedback This is a great way to gain clinical experience while studying at home. By going through these modules you can also accumulate all of the clinical hours required by the CHC. The clinical modules A&B count for 250 clinical hours, according to current CHC guidelines. The Supervision module consists of 10 of your own cases with two follow ups, to fulfill CHC supervision guidelines. Please see certification page for details.
Other Options for Clinical Study We also offer private consultations on cases and practice building. This may be useful during later modules when you are taking your own cases or wish to begin your own homeopathic work. Please call us to inquire about fees for these clinical options. Internships with local homeopaths may also be possible and may be arranged individually by the student. We will do our best to help you find a homeopath to intern within your area. homeopathy school, homeopathic schools, homeopathic school, homeopathic training, homeopathy online, homeopathy college, homeopathic online, homeopath, certificate, program, distance learning, Santa Cruz, California, health freedom, correspondence, course, school, education, classical homeopathy, training, clinic, clinical, Hahnemann, Willa Keizer, Council for Homeopathic Certification, Caduceus, Institute, practice, profession, career, health professional, study, studies, certification |
